On March 28, the Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Ordinance will be heard by our City Council. This is the last chance to express our concerns and request City Council to regulate this establishments.
We are inviting residents, professionals and educators in the Central region to attend the City Council Meeting on March 28th. at 2:00 pm and address this important issue in our communities.

Meth 360
Methamphetamine is a drug with unique impact beyond the individual user. The manufacturer and distribution of meth has been shown to cause significant damage to the environment, innocent children, the economy and infrastructure of communities, and to be a drain on vital resources. Users of meth are prone to violence and neglectful behavior, and so inflict physical and psychological harm not only on themselves but on their children, families, and members of their community including, law enforcement and emergency services personnel. Meth 360, is a program of meth prevention presentations that are co-delivered by teams of substance abuse prevention professionals to parent groups, schools, workplace health-care, civic and other organizations. The audience learns about all aspects of meth from experts with diverse perspectives on the issue
"Hands-Off Holiday" Action Tool Kit |
The goal of the Hands-Off Holiday's Action Tool Kit is to build relationships and collaborations with other community organizations active in prevention efforts, like the San Diego Friday Night Live Partnership. Through your participation you will learn the effects the alcohol and tobacco industry have on the community. You will also become aware of the socio-economic discrepancies of alcohol advertising, the use of cultural symbols and Latinas as sexual objects for alcohol marketing, and the health risks affecting Latinos and other cultures.
